Safe Start (GE 707/18)

Safe start (GE 707) provides easy to understand health, safety and environment information. It supports operatives and specialists who are preparing for the CITB Health, safety and environment test through providing all of the information needed to pass the test. It is the official supporting publication for the CITB Site Safety Plus one-day Health and safety awareness course (HSA).

New for 2018
• Content has been reviewed and updated, where necessary, to ensure information reflects current legislation and good practice.
• Information on so called legal highs within Section B has been updated in line with the Psychoactive Substances Act and a table has been included to outline the penalties for illegal drugs. Additional content and new images have also been included in Section B to enhance the manual handling chapter.
• Section E has enhanced information on sustainable building, concrete washout facilities and brownfield sites.

Each chapter begins with a summary of what you should expect from your site and employer, and what your site and employer should expect from you. It includes clear illustrations and offers practical guidance for construction workers, including all the relevant topics and the individual specialist chapters.
